HMT "File Not Found" Error Fix

I know a lot of people have been having problems with HMT 3.5 and that when they try to load a map an error comes up saying "File Not Found" and its really frustrating, and I've figured out how to fix it (halellula).

When you download HMT it says the requirements are .Net Framework 1.1 or higher, the problem is that if you get anything higher then that is what creates the error, so downloading .Net Framework 1.1 will fix all your problems, heres the link for it at microsoft.com/downloads:

Sticky possibly? becuase a lot of people have this problem and I haven't found any solutions posted.

Every one knows that, have you even seen the thread for HMT 3.5. Half of the post are about how you need to download NET frameworks.

I know you need it, but when you download HMT 3.5 it says you need .Net Framework 1.1 or higher, so I downloaded .Net Framework 3.0 (the newest one) and my HMT get an error everytime I went to load the map, I know many people have this problem and no fixes have the solution, I'm talking about something different

Why? Basically everyone here knows you need .NET framework for the majority of any modding tools to work correctly. :\

I'm not sure how long this fix lasts but replacing the map file with the original fixes it.
I keep a folder full of all the .map backups in My Docs.... not sure how many other people did the same =\

Hope this helps a few people.

Bumped.
Try not to post in topics more then 7 day old.
Also, you don't need to downgrade.

I found out the fix! I installed and uninstalled every fricking version of net but I found out what was going wrong! Make sure your Halo Maps folder and files are NOT set to "Read Only!!!" How could HMT3.5 read and change them then!?!?!! LOLZ!!!

Hope I helped!
