My PC won't play DVDs right

So DVDs used to play fine, but now when I stick one in, Windows Media player Shows it as 'Unknown DVD' with all the title selections and stuff, but when I try to play it I get a 'cannot play file' error. Another program (Cyberlink PowerDVD) plays the DVD, but with no video. My Xbox plays the DVDs fine, and I've tried several DVDs with my PC getting the same result. Any help? :(

Download 'Media Player Classic'. It's a great program and fixed this very same error that I had.

Your computer just needs all the new codecs and drivers. Go on your manufacturer's website and look around for drivers and software for your model otherwise Google it. I had to do this on a few of my computers. Fixed it perfectly...

I have Media Player Classic, it plays the video fine, but no sound.
I've definitely got updated codecs, because it's worked before.
I have VLC and... it plays fine for some reason. o_O

Any ideas why WMP11, MPC, and Cyberlink won't play it right?

...Fucking drivers. Reinstalling K-Lite Mega Codec pack fixed everything. Thanks to DJ Nick. :?
