vista problem (HHT,HMT,sparkedit) :(

k im running vista ultimate

ok first off with HHT: so i try to open a map file and a box pops up and says: unhandled excption has occured in your application. if you click continue the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.if you click quit the application will close immeditly

Acess to the path E:\halo\MAPS\a10.map is denied

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

k now there is HMT i try to open a map and it pops up with a box that says: file not found

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

lastly sparkedit. i try to onen the map file and it pops up with: an unnamed file was not found

if anybody nos the answer it would be well appreciated

at first glance it seems you are trying to read from the cd drive. i haven't tried it, so i might be wrong, but i'd think they'd have some sort of copy protection on the game so you couldn't read files. maybe try navigating to your halo directory on the C drive, going to the maps folder, and reading from those (AFTER you backup the maps!!!)

no its trying to read it from the place i installed it (E:/halo/Maps) lol

maybe the prorams are having trouble running in vista? right-click the program's .exe, go to properties, and see if there's a compatability mode option or something of the like.

k the only thing i had to do is run in in administrator in the xp service pack
