I just installed Windows Vista today on my Intel mac and it won't make any sound at all. It says "no audio output device is installed", but the computer came with integrated speakers, and it made noises perfectly with XP just this morning. WTF??? Can anyone help me please?

Did you install the correct drivers? I've heard about problems with Vista drivers not existing for certain pieces of hardware and the mac...well, if you have osx, try downloading the latest bootcamp and burning a drivers cd.

Yeah, I used bootcamp to install XP and upgraded to Vista today. I tried to use the driver CD to reinstall the drivers, but it crashed

and I was using the most recent version of bootcamp. Btw, Vista isn't really that bad, the only reason I have a problem with it is because I'm on a mac. It has a very good UI and good graphics, and is worth it, if you can get around its nagging about security
Edit:haha google rocks, and I think I should have it fixed soon, so this topic can be locked. Thank you everybody for your help.
Edit 2: it didn't work
