changing spawns

ok ive been lookin everywhere, well ive been lookin for a while, and i cant find a spawn tut. on here for halo2.... i have a lockout mod and everytime i would die or someone else would die, they would spawn somewhere way far from the map and they cant die or shoot their weapons.... and i cant figure out why this is happening.... plz help me, or give me the tut for this....thanks alot guys!
