it should sound like this first of all:

I have recently bought a new computer and I wanted to install halo 1(or halo PC whatever). It appears that my sound.map in cab 5 is broken for some reason. Can anyone help me please?

Ok now that we at least know what your saying, heres what I have to say to you. You didn't buy halo PC. You must have got it illegally because an original copy of halo PC would not have any corrupted or missing files.

Thank you Tural for removing me from the readers club, you are a very generous and considerate person. :)

If proper grammar was a requirement on this forum, the userbase would be cut in half, if not more so.
So please don't lecture their spelling or English skills unless it's extremely called for...

While the retail version has a much less probability of anything being wrong with it, errors still do arise.
RYDER, you may want to refer to the manual, or e-mail Bungie's support for advice.

What is the actual error that Halo faults to?
Can you take a screen shot of the dialog box? Or is it in Dutch?

See if you can make an ISO of your disc, at a VERY slow read speed.
Turn around and write that image to a blank CD at a VERY slow write speed, and try again.
