Can't target ODST

Post by NLobo »

I managed to successfully bring an odst into my map and got it to work perfectly. But the only problem is that when I target them the crosshair doesn't turn red. :? Its stays neutral which makes them harder to hit and guns like the plasma pistol and the needler are useless because they don't track them. I think I've seen it done before but I can't figure out how to fix it so if anyone can help I'd really appreciate it. Its really annoying to have come so far on a mod and to something like this holding you back.

I'm playing as an odst in a mp map against other players, I don't understand how AI comes into play here. I'm able to lock on and target them when they use a vehicle but not when there on foot thats the problem.

I havent done this in a while, but im pretty sur eits in the biped tag, in entity's meta editor. Swap the team index to covenant, or sentinal. Then you wil be able to target it.
Me: U wanna play Matchmaking?
xlRainlx: Sure, ill level you up cuz im mexican, we were naturally born to use guns
My heart goes out to Trulife, I hope you get through this.

Don't know if that would work, but then wouldn't there also be the possibility that an enemy would be on the bipd's "team" color and therefore have a dissadvantage?

The problem is the fact that it is missing hit boxes. In the hlmt there is a reflexive that deals with this and then there are markers in its mode that tell where the point on the body to target.

Seems I got it to work. When I dropped the odst in my map I followed a tutorial saying to use the masterchief bipd and swapped out its dependency's with the marine. I spawned as an odst just fine but like I said I couldn't target them so instead of I tried using the elite mp bipd and it worked. I don't know why it works with the elite's since the two bipd's don't seem all that different but what do I know. Well that settles that so a big thanks to all the people who replied and tried to help I really appreciate it. :)
