HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

First, can someone tell me exactly where the new maps (.map files) go? Like, the directory, as in E:/Games/Halo 2/Maps is the regular map folder, but IIRC they go in a different one. I had to change something and delete them, so I backed them up on my computer before doing it, but that was a few months ago and I can't remember where they go.

EDIT: Nevermind the previous edit, the other topic didn't give me the exact location.

Second, can someone give me a quick tut on how to make the plasma grenades I shoot out of things project? Like instead of them flopping down infront of me, make them shoot outwards?

Halo 2's TDATA entry is located in E:\TDATA\4d530064\

Where $c is maps, and $u is the update. (I believe I may have gotten those backwards, but maybe not..)

Yeah $c is the update and $u is the maps. ;x

To make the plasma grenade actually go somewhere, I believe you have to go to the [proj] tag of it. Then edit the initial projectile and the final projectile. That's the speed I believe.

EDIT: Damn, I don't even have a $c or $u folder. I tried making them myself and stcuk them both with the maps in both folders to see if it would work, and the first time in the $c folder it said "File Damaged. Content you've downloaded is damaged and not usable. Please try downloading it again." And when I tried it in the $u folder, they just didn't even show up.

Was there some other file in there that I forgot to copy that it needs? Or maybe it needs the 1.11 update? Because I guess if both of those folders where deleted, the update was too, plus the numbers signifying the update that appear on the Halo 2 screen aren't there. (the Campaign - XBL - Split Screen - System Linik - Settings one)

Any suggestions?

Download the map packs from XBL or from the map pack CD.

How would I go about downloading them from XBL?

My XBL account isn't on the xbox anymore either, I use a new one on my 360, if you are talking about using one.

If you cannot get your account back onto the original Xbox, you're going to have to purchase the Mappack disc.

I believe it's about $20 now.

Since I don't plan on using this xbox for Live!, could I get a free 2 month or whatever card from a friend and go on one just long enough to DL them? I don't really care if it's EEPROM gets banned, just as long as my 360 and 360 account are fine for normal play.

If not, I guess I'll just go get the mappack from some nearby store.

$C are the maps, and $U is the update. I took the disc and just installed the update, and I have $U. So you could remember it like this $C is "content" and $U is "update"

Read my post next time. I'm not asking for a 2 month, I'm asking if I could download them off a 2 month I can get from a friend.
