I have a x box 360 and a normal x box. I can go on live and play halo 2 with the old one. The 360 version however doesn't let me connect to xbl with halo 2. Question is do I need to do anything to my 360 or router?.

The Router is an Actiontec M142rWR

no i made a 1 month silver trial on the 360 and i have my old xbox account. Is there some kind of network conflict between both systems?

The Xbox Live Silver account is only good for the Marketplace and RPGs. If you want to play first person shooters on Live you'll need a gold account. Luckily, you can transfer your old XBL account to a new gold one for free. I believe the documentation that comes with the 360 has a phone number you can call to do so.

I know about the live gold membership but i'm playing halo 2 on a silver and it works fine but when i try to get on my other xbox at the same time on live it messes around with the 360. I had no problem having 2 original xboxs on live, just this combination.

You can't login with the same account on two xboxes at the same time, if thats what you mean.

No they're two different accounts. I think it has something to do with network or something with the 360.

It's possible that running two on Live at the same time is leeching enough of your bandwidth that you get knocked off.

That could be a reason why, but does the 360 take a lot of more bandwidth then a regular xbox? I also am running 5 mb down and 2 mb up.
