when you say put them on a disc do you mean the actual halo 2 disc or just a blank CD? I dont think its possible because if you put the modded maps on the CD and put the CD into your xbox i dont think you could take the files and save them to your hard drive sorry.

It would not fit on a CD, but you can do this with a DVD.
A tutorial on how to do this was posted on the front page of Halomods a while back, but I am not sure if it is still there.
Basically, take a mainmenu.map, add all your maps to it, put the added maps in the /maps/ directory, create an Xbox .iso, and burn it to a DVD.
As long as your Xbox is modded, you will be able to play the DVD.
This will definitely not work on Live, so don't even ask about that.

yes it will work then just get xiso and make an iso for it and burn it to a DVD+R or DVD-R or RW.

I've done this a few times, so if I have time, and enough people are interested, I will make a tutorial on how to do so.
It's pretty easy.
Yes, any DVD will work. -R, +R, RW, whichever you want.

ok i made an .ISO but here is where the problems come in.
1) where do i find the iso. when it said it was complete it made a winrar file with .ISO at the end.
2) what dvd+r burner program to u sugest i use. becuase i have none.

I believe Winrar adds support to the Windows shell with .ISO's.
Don't worry about it looking like a Winrar archive, it is actually an .ISO.
Alcohol120% is one of the best .ISO burning/creation programs out there.
