Help on installing/playing mods for Halo PC!

ok, i install the 'new' map file, and the .pfs (i think thats what its called) patches, but when i load it up to test, it freezes and i have to shut down my whole computer.
what am i doing wrong?

you have to replace the old map with the new map (if there is one). then you take the .ppf file and, using PPF-O-MATIC, select bitmaps.map in your MAPS folder as the ISO target, then select the .ppf patch for the map for the second little box. then hit apply and your done.

It depends what the patch is for, it could be for sounds also. Search the tutorials section for a tutorial on this.
