halo1 modding help

i just started to mod halo 1 and im having a problem, i know you have to mod the cache, but i dont know exactly what map the cashes are, and i use spark edit. and what do i do when i apply the patch?

If I remember correctly caches 000 and 001 are campaign maps and the other three are MP maps. Just play a map for a few seconds and quit the game and go back to your modded dash and FTP and get them from the Z drive. Once you've modded them put back in the Z drive and start the map back up again.

when i try to apply to those it wont work in ppf-omatic though... wait ill try them one more time is there anything else i do
