forcing dxt3 to be dxt5?

how do i force one type of .dds to be another. for example, i awant to force the ghost.dds (which is a dxt3) to be a dxt5. don't ask why, i wanna see how it looks. if anyone could tell me how this is accomplished i would be grateful, scottygee i am looking in your direction, i know you know how to do this

edit: to be cclarify i know how to save it to be that, i have them all ready, i just cant get them in a map

Open your map in Ch2r, then goto the desired bitmap. when you can see the bitmap, you should see a combobox under the bitmap that will say the dxt type. Just change it there, and you should be able to inject teh desired dxt.

edit: what version of ch2r are you using for this?

Ch2R v.0.9.3 if I am not mistaken.

ok i used that version and i followed all the directions, but the combobox wasnt there.

tried the other version and the combobox is there but i'm not able to edit it. i dont think that method works.

Are you double clicking on the Bitmap to bring up the editor?
