me and my friends want to go on xb connect to play some modded "old" maps but they don't hate routers. can they still use it?

No, I'm pretty sure you need a router.

You can Enable ICS on your computer, change your network settings on your xbox, then run a Crossover Cable from your computer to your xbox.

xb connect, can u play without a router?
