HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I apologize if this has been covered somewhere else, but I've been looking for a fix for the past few hours, but whenever I try to install .NET Frameworks 1.1, the installer closes itself at the end, saying that it stopped prematurely. I have tried many fixed from many sites with no success, I have uninstalled all other versions of .NET, ran cleanup programs, nothing works. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem it was because i hadent update my computer like in a few months then i went to microsoft.com and downloaded the update software and updated my computer then .netframework ran smooth im not saying it will work but make sure ur computer is updated

what os do you have?
if xp, does it have sp2?
