No Nightvision

When I use a sniper rifle in multiplayer and also want to use the nightvision the scope turns to a black box. If you guys want I could post a screenshot so you can see a visual.

Anyway, does anyone know what would be causing this and how to fix it? I asked someone else in a game of Halo and thay said it is because I never played single player, is that true?

it might be your graphics card if its really crap but much more likely than that is just that the game fucked up, try reinstalling it and see if that helps

try re-installing the game. IF the doesn't work, try re-installing the graphics card drivers. If that doesnt work either, try looking at your configuration, play around with it and u might just get rid of the problem... works for me

I have the same "problem". It's not my video card because Truth and Reconciliation (sp?) works fine. I think its made not to work unless its actually night...

Ok, if you don't know what the you're talking about please don't post. I get tired of people answering questions with "Reinstall this and reinstall that". If we wanted everyone to answer everyone else's problem with "Reinstall", we wouldn't have this forum. We'd just have a thread that said "If you have a problem, try to reinstall."

Reinstalling rarely fixes any problems (other than missing or corrupt files -- which are both due to HUMAN ERROR), it just wastes people's time and energy.

It is to work in Multiplayer, but it's not very handy in the light levels, your scope is useually green.

Unless WalMart sold me a bootlegged version of Halo with a working CD key, I'd have to say you're wrong, PiMpShiN. I also have this problem, but it doesn't really bother me. I don't use it really.

Alright, bunch of sensless posts blah blah blah....

Few questions. do you all have the same type of card? Or is it just ATI in general?

First: Try updating the drivers or reinstalling the drivers from the ATI website.
If it still doesnt work, second: Try backing up the bitmaps and map files.
Third: When in doubt, reinstall Halo.

Since you cant really do much with a video card after the above steps still doesnt work, email the makers of Halo.

This might be of help: http://www.halomods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4838
