How do you insert items from a map into another map???

I am new to modding and learning as I go. What I am trying to find out is how do you take items (scenery, etc...) from one map and insert them into another map. Such as tree's from death island and inserting them into blood gulch. Any response will be much appreciated.

save the meta of them then rebuild the map with it of follow the PMI tut
