1280 x 1024 @ 120 Hz. for Halo PC + CE Settings.

1 time, when I was modifying my monitor for my driver I unchecked hide modes that this monitor cannot display then Halo could run 1280 x 1024 @ 120 Hz. 
Then I reset my PC and checked my driver and realized the hide modes option was grayed. I couldn't modify it, but it was still off. Then the next day I turned on my PC and realized that the hide modes is tunable again. 
It was unchecked, but when I opened up Halo, Refresh rate was at 60 Hz! 
I increased it, but the highest it went was 75 Hz. 
How do I Gray out the hide modes option or have my 120 Hz. back?!
