hook weapon?

ok i had a question, on counter strike their are hook servers where you can bind say your f key to have a hook that you point at a place and when you hit f your go twords it. well i know that with the sentinel beam you can boost the force to make your self fly away from things but i was told that if you set it to a negative number it would attract? i tried this but it doesnt seem to work..has any one ever done this because it would be an awsome thing to implement.
