adding halo 2 .map files to xbox

hey, again, ok, i am having adding troubles adding .map files to my xbox, and i thought i heard from someone i have to update my mainmenu.map, and if so, how?? cuz i kinda edited my own map, and i wanna play it, so i copied it to my xbox hdd, and i cant play it, it dosent show on the menu, can someone please help me out??? i really wanna play some new maps.
