plasma bolt

hey dudes, while i was reskining my plasma rifle i stumbled onto a problem...where is the plasma bolt at?? iv recolored everything but the plasma bolt, so its still blue, is it possible to change the plasma bolts' color?

Thats exactly what I want to do but I am not exactly sure how. Someone said it was easy, but then the next post said its not that easy unless you know how to use hex.
Basically I dont know how to do it, but I have the effe file open for the bolt but I have no clue how to figure out what part of the hex I need to edit to make it change.
Oh and if you know what your doing, I believe its just a matter of changing the hex in the effect (effe) but again im not totally sure.

Use HMT, goto bitmaps, find effects/particles/energy/bitmaps/....
find the one that u want to change (either the muzzle discharge or the actual bolt), save the texture. Open in any pic editor (photoshop, paintshop pro, etc.) change the color, save it, and reinject it. Happy modding

HMT is only good for H1 no? I was trying to do this for H2, but I tried the same thing with dothalo but I cannot find the actual projectile bitmap. I can find the brute plasma rifle bitmap and the burn mark bitmap, thats about it though. Any suggestions.
