xbox live

ok i have aol, and i called them and they are retarted, they said live dosent work with aol, yet my friend has aol dsl and it works, i have cable, and i have the little box with the blinking lights, now i have a hub, i connect the ethernet cable, to my xbox then to the hub, then a cable from the uplink into the back of the msall box with the blinking lights, then the cable cord into my hub, now i can sign online, but live wont work, am i doing somthing wrong? or is aol right??

if someone else uses the same ISP and gets on it should work...
Do you have a router? You will need that if you have something else running that needs an IP address. If you only have a hub, and you're computer is on at the same time, you won't be able to get the Xbox online.

yea i had a hub you can only use your xbox or your computer at one time to go online now a have a router and im on xbox live and my computer right now

i went to xbox.com.live, and it says aols not compatible with xbox live, god damnit, they need to make up there minds, does anyone run it on aol?
