You need a modchip installed in your Xbox.
Its not complicated, but its not smiled upon by Microsoft. Also, it requires you buy the modchip($60-$70), install it, set it up, et c.

This place will answer ALL of your questions. If it doesn't, you aren't looking in the right place.
Good luck, and I hope you decide to mod your Xbox. All the more in the community, the merrier.

Indeed, but he might find SOME things complicated, like making the boot disc, and renaming some things. It's pretty much something you need tutorials open in anoter window for.
And also, you're going to need to open your Xbox, and you might screw something up if you solder, so I definetly prefer X-B.I.T. (what I have) It's definetly the easiest one to work with. Any questions about using it, PM me.

If your not too shy with soldering, and your on a tight budget, you can mod your xbox without a mod-chip. Despite what people say, it is possible to play live as well if you do it this way, and there is a tutorial on xbox-scene on how to do this, its called Flashing the TSOP, if your wondering. You'll need a friend with a modded box though. I beleve there is also a tutorial on how do Flash the TSOP on xbox-scene with online capability, as long as your xbox isn't too new. I know that very few people do it this way, but as long as you know what your doing, its pretty easy. If you want to do it this way, you can PM me, oh yeah, you'll also need a STANDARD mem card, I have heard that some 3rd party ones don't work, so I wouldn't take a chance. I did do mine this way, and by doing so, I got a little extra cash for getting a new HDD.
