No speculars or Shadows? Why?

I cant see Speculars or shadows
AND I DID GO TO OTIONS-VIDEO-and so on.
And please dont say "go and get a new card" or like that<<
Darn Nvidia
I HOPE HL2 WILL HAVE THEM
PLEASE, please help me

Dude wtf? Do you have any idea how many of these exact same threads have been made?! Stop being a lazy fuck and search the site for the keyword video* or something. Sorry to tell you what you don't want to here, but yes, you will need a new card.... if you cannot check the options for specular or shadows, then your card is for shit. You either get a job, or ask your parents for a new card for christmas, you need to improvise. And if your parents are poor, steal the friggin' thing, and if you can't steal, well then tough luck, you won't be seeing specular or shadows anytime soon bud.

Yeah. My cousin has that card and shadows don't show up. Its your video card and not Halo.

you should check your video card options and settings. Usually something is turned off from Windows XP and not the game.
Get updated drivers... make sure your system is in shape, etc.
