how do i ban people on multipler mode for the pc??? please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot believe that you actually made a post about this, there are so many topics about this already, you can try using a search engine, or you can look through the topics till you find what your looking for, but I will help you out anyway because I'm trying to be nice..
First you have to right click on your halo shortcut and edit the target so that it looks somewhat like this
"F:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe" -console
the drive letter and the folders can be different depending on the folder you installed halo into, but the -console and the quotes and space and stuff have to be the same. That only activates the console which allows you to ban people. Now when your inside halo all you have to do is press ` (the squiggly key above tab..)and it will bring up the console. Here are some of the basic commands that you can use with your new console:

sv_ban (players name goes here)
sv_kick (same as above)
sv_players (same thing as holding F1)
sv_end_game (ends the game, just a harder and more annoying way of doing it)

If you want more commands you can search for them, and I hope this helps somewhat.

its sv_ban (number here) not players name... and same with the others, der

You can type the players name.... it does not have to be the number.

what do you think would take longer, a 1 or 2 digit number or someone name which can be in ascii?

Well duh, if there name is hard to spell, use the numbers... did you really have to come here and post that? I'm sure he can figure it out..

i had found another, but u did help becuase i didnt know whaere to put
-consol. i did alredy know that u can put #s, but i didnt know u could put the name up so thank for mentioning that. STOP ARGUING, PLEASE

i tried it out and it wont work. when i press tilda it doesnt do anything. any suggestions?

You need to spell it right. But if your using Halo trial, you cant do it

i did spell it right: i put it exactly as i saw it on this topic andit said that it accepted the spelling, as it wouldnt do before i put the space in. are u sure u spelled right? do u have to press shift then` to get the screen?

Did I say that? I said press ` no shift involved.... I posted this exact same thing for someone else and they managed to get it going...

i cant get it to work still. im doing everyithing exactly right, but it wont work. i have bought the real game, so no worries there, but i just cant get it to work.

the EXACT words/#s on the shotcut/props/target thing are

is this right? when i triedto change the C to an F it wouldnt work. any suggestions?

Audio Slave is correct in BOTH posts I've done it before

maybe you just dont understand it..

what drive did you install halo on?

Also.. open up your halo shortcut and make sure you have the right path.
