Websites not loading properly

Post by Eaton »

Well, this has been going on for a long time and I am getting annoyed. Whenever I go to Bungie.net or Xbox.com on my laptop that uses Firefox 3, the web page never loads. I have tried refreshing and everything. It just stays at a blank white page most of the time. The weird thing is, I have a desktop PC that is connected to the same network the laptop is and that uses Firefox 3 as well and it can load the pages just fine... The laptop has Vista Business and the desktop has XP Home Edition. Any ideas on how to fix it?

That's happened to me. I fixed it by opening it in a new tab

Try removing any cookies for the sites, and also any for Live.com and the like. The only thing I could think that's the same between the two is auto logging in to your Windows Live ID.

as unlikely as this is, you might want to try checking your hosts file, maybe for some odd reason it's got those domains registered in it and pointing to a dead end. (like 127.0.0.1).

other than that, i second the cookie deletion. also, try visiting in a different browser.

Well, I do delete my cookies every now and then and that doesn't make a difference. I do have it set up to automatically sign me in though. I try visiting the site in Internet Explorer and they seem to work on that.
