2 of my internet browsers dont work
For a while, my IE hasnt worked, so I got firefox, now my firefox doesnt work, so I got Safari, now its starting to get errors every time I watch a video or go somewhere with lots of pictures, could anyone assist me with this or get me a new browser? What I mean by not working anymore is It wont load any pages, it just says page cannot be displayed on IE and firefox just stays blank.

Some of your pages are loading successfully?
The same pages don't work?
You have cable or DSL?
You have Norton/McAfee/Kapersky/AVG/TrendMicro?
You have Windows Firewall + Router?
There are a lot of things that can be going wrong, from DNS to ISP. The more details the better. Is it just on one PC in the house or all of them?

if you haven't tried reinstalling the browsers, give that a shot.
as for the IP issue, hre's the commands:
that should have the DHCP server give you a new IP, although i don't see how that would help. if you have some sort of router (typically wireless) between your pc and the modem, then you'll just get a new private IP from your router. otherwise, it might be from the ISP's DHCP server.
as for the IP issue, hre's the commands:
Code: Select all
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ASPARTAME: in your diet soda and artificial sweeteners. also, it's obviously completely safe. it's not like it will cause tumors or anything. >.>

I am using Safari browser, it works OK, but it gets errors, then closes when I load a good bit of stuff (Pictures, videos etc)
I have DSL
I have Mcafee, ESET Security, Spybot: Search and Destroy, and I have scanned with all of those and none of them have fixed it.

He said your router. If it's a linksys, there is a small grey button on the back of the router that, if you hold for either 15 or 30 seconds, will reset the router back to factory default settings. I usually wait 30 just to be sure. You may also want to shut down all your firewalls and anti-virus programs just for a few minutes and see if that's the cause of your problem. If not, of course re-enable them afterwards.Corvette19 wrote:I just Reset my Internet, didnt work
Incase it's a firewall. Make sure you open a port for the the program to run properly. Though, Linksys routers also have a built in firewall so you may need to configure that one as well.

As a last resort, you could install Windows XP or whatever operating system you are using. Or pop your windows disc into your computer and try seeing if there is anything that needs to be repaired.Corvette19 wrote:It had always worked before, (The browsers) and my brothers computer works fine, both his firefox and IE!
