Firmware Question

Post by preston566 »

First off: I'm sorry if this is in the wrong thread.

about Flashing my 360FirmWare.

1. Would this void my warrenty?
2. Is thier a risk of destroying my console?
3. I havn't read/found a tutorial, do I open my 360?
4. Will I be able to copy games to my harddrive like I would a modded
xbox?
5. Is this anything like/near a modded console.?
6. What are specificly the features of this?

Thanks,

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. Yes
4. No
5. Not sure of your question there. No, the console is not technically "modded", the DVD drive would be the only hardware considered "modded".
6. Playing backed up games, and only backed up games. Don't go pirating games.

A word of advice. You probably wouldn't want to do this as it has potential to be very costly and can damage your console.

Not to mention that there is a chance of getting banned on Xbox Live with flashed firmware. It's only use it to play burned game disks. It is useful for the Halo 2 mappacks like Killtrocity and AI Revision though.
