Untagging Album Art

Post by Cuda »

Ok, Now, I got a small hiccup. After the first Zune Setup, it had that ugly ass colored flurry mess as a "No Album Art" default image. since I didn't want to see that anymore, I retagged all of my "NO Album Art" Tracks/CDs to the one I made. Now that the Zune has removed the ugly flurry mess, how do I untag the Album art I made and reset it to the player's default "No Album Art" image? (This would also apply to WM11 and getting the CD Case Image instead of album art. ) I tried deleting the original source iamge where each one was linking to, but no dice.

I did. Some of the tracks I got were Either:

A.) Downloaded Exclusives from the Artist's Website
B.) CD's Purchased from No Regrets from Small bands in the Area
C.) 7 Inch Vinyl rips, from very hard to find Vinyl from Amoeba and Dizzy on Vinyl in Long Beach.

I really haven't downloaded songs in some time, I've only been getting small tidbits from friends, and the stuff they got is all tagged with proper art. It's the hard to find tracks, like Remixes, Punk CD's/Vinyls, that don't have the art originally, that I tagged with the trplacemnt art to get rid of the annoying and nasty looking flurry "No Album Art" mess from the original Zune player.

it's possible that there's a program to edit those parts of the mp3. if i remember right, things like the album art pic, as well as artist and album name are all stored in the mp3, and i'm sure there's a way to change it. maybe searching for mp3 tag editors will turn up something useful, or maybe you could experiment in a hex editor? (on a copy of the file, of course)
ASPARTAME: in your diet soda and artificial sweeteners. also, it's obviously completely safe. it's not like it will cause tumors or anything. >.>

I'm pretty sure that they are not stored in the mp3 (at least not Zune wise) they are in the same folder as the mp3 just as a hidden file. Try that Cuda, I guess.
