Ok in adi i exported a ton of models and had to rig myself but when i found that the .x file can be exported with bones i tried it out but i could NEVER import it into 3ds max so i though i could convert it and i tried poly trans and some other tools until i heard that it was a direct X file on teh microsoft forums and they said that i should use a application called deep exploration and so i did but when i opened it it actualy showed ALL the texture data for things like opacy and bump maps and stuff. But what i REALY focused on was the fact that it had mesh transformation objects (bones) so i tried to export it into a .3ds file because it supported bones but when i open the .3ds file in 3ds max the bones are just "dummy" objects that do nothing at all. So what im asking is what other file formats can 3ds max open that supports bones? And heres a picture of the mesh transformation in action.
