Alright, here goes the story. A couple days ago, I was going swimming. Long story short, when I went to sit down each time after going swimming, I sat on my phone, and, obviously, it got wet. Now, I did the normal stuff, like taking out the battery and letting it dry. After a day, I put the battery, SIM, and micro SD card back in. About twice that day, I got a white screen and I had to reboot the phone. Now, today, it's on a white screen/black screen cycle, and the only way to stop it is to take the battery out. Obviously, it didn't dry completely.
So, is there any last-ditch effort to save it? Should I let it dry some more, or should I go and have it repaired? Also, how much would a repair cost, on average?

if it didn't completely dry by the time you turned it on, i suppose it's likely to have shorted somewhere. i suppose it's still worth a shot, so disassemble it as much as possible, and then a bit more, and let it dry overnight, then reassemble. if it's bone dry after you take it apart, or it still has the problem when you reassemble it, it's done for. i'd suggest taking it in to the store you bought it and seeing if they can do anything. you might run into a hassle though, i hear they have an easily corrodible piece of metal in the phone to tell if it's fallen in water or not so people can't just toss their phone in the sink because they want a new one.
i'm sure you know, but dropping a phone in water and then turning it back on "to see if it still works" is what kills 'em. avoid that.
maybe this would be a good excuse to get an iPhone? or maybe a neo?

On most phones nowadays, they do have a circular sticker type thing that changes colors if it gets wet. Let's them know if you got it wet and it's damaged because of it. My suggestion also would be to take it apart as much as you can and let it dry out for 2 days or so. To make sure it's not wet at all. Then piece it back together and test. If that fails, you'll be looking for a new phone

Update. I went and did a SIM transfer to a new card, because I found out that with the SIM out, the phone loaded. Now, I found out that it crashes to a white screen when the micro SD card is in. Strange.
Now I'm sitting at the "Check SIM" stage, the lady at T-Mobile told me that it would be like this for "a while" because the SIM is new. Any ideas on how long it should last?
