Creating a "static" weapon

Post by Saladin »

Well you know how the sword is floating in a static position in lockout and terminal, how can I do that with other weapons (system linkable prefered if possible). Like to get a weapon you have to perform a jump from one place to another in lockout to get a floating weapon kind of thing without it falling into the abyss.

It's easy:
Open up your map with ADI,go to scnr tag
Open blue guerrilla ( CTRL+G)
Then go to the "collections" reflexive and you have the list of the respawns(itmc tags)
Select your spawn
Set the value "object properties" to "suspended"

Then, "validation" >> "save"

Now your weapon will be floating ^^

neodos is right, but you could also use Entity's meta editor to set it. Its in the Netgame Equipment reflexive of the SCNR tag. Or..If your one of the few people Entity 1.4 decides to work for, you can set it while your moving it around in teh BSP viewer...

I mean making it static would break system link, because I've already moved weapons before but they always fell to the ground.

There's a "Floating" flag you can check somewhere on some plugin. It's how they make the sword float on Lockout, or the battle rifles stand up on Coag.
