Xbox problems...

my Xbox has been messingg up for the last couple weeks.. i would turn it on there would b power,, but there isnt audio/video or the disk wouldnt come out... and according to my dad its dying and if he can hes gonna take out the hardrive and hook to a pc to get the data out...

but wat i wanted to know is if the Xbox is dying or if it could b sumthin else?

well,how long have you had your xbox? my guess is that the power supplyer in your xbox is burning out. in every computer system,if its gamecube,xbox or your pc, they all have whats called a power supplyer in them. this device takes the electrical energy you get from the outlet in the wall and tones it down and puts the energy the system needs through all the chips and computing parts. after a few years ( 3-8 ) the power supplyer may start to burn out from constant power flow. basically its been working so long it just breaks down after a while. it could be that or the TV its connected to or the cables u used to connect it to the TV are faulty. also it could be that your TV isnt on the right channel or on the right "line" theres line 1 and line 2 on my TV and it works on line 1 so try looking at some of that stuff and see if you got it right.

ive had my xbox for about 3 or 4 yrs... my dad has and xbox and i tried his power supply and didnt really make a differance... i also tried it on the T.V. in my living room and didnf change...

thats exactly what my xbox is doing, and if you turn it on the eject button goes amber? well ive had my xbox for about 2 years, nobody heped me though.
