I read the brief making custom weapons for ce tutorial, and decided to have a go. I created my model and skin, ran a stl check - no errors, and linked my model to a frame. Exported to jms, tried to compile with tool, and got an error about #triangles or something. I can't even do the first part. Can anyone help out?
*edit* poly count was just over 2000

Could you post what the error is in full? Also did you get the error when doing the collision-geometry or just trying to build the model?

degenerate triangles? that doesn't matter when making the 3P or FP models, but it wont work as a collision model. to make a new collision, just freeze ur gun and get a side view...trace it w/the line tool and extrude until its about the same size....then erase the old model and name the new one "collision-geometry" and link that to the frame (make sure all ur nodes are still there) then export as a .JMS to ur data\weapons\ak-47\physics folder

for a gun collision model you can also make a box to go around it (small box so it does not affect movement etc)
Skin is a little choppy but i liek it
