But If I only inject the "Track" file it plays for a few seconds but stops. How do I inject using HMT and make them work?InSaNe1024 wrote:Convert these files into Ogg Vorbis format, then use HMT to stick them in.DXR-HyBriD wrote:how do u put it in haloPC? (if it can)

Holy.....the topic has grown a lot since I was here last.
Well, sorry but the xbox ADPCM doesn't like Windows 98 SE(it won't do anything after I install it) so I can't do anything with those types of music files. Fortunately, the mainmenu music is in the WMA format in the mainmenu map.
Also, has anyone had problems playing these in Winamp? My Winamp will play them but every once in a while it just crashes saying that Winamp performed an illegal operation...weird.
So, if anyone knows if there is a program or something that can play the xbox ADPCM without having to get the ADPCM codec working with Windows itself(so in other words a program that can use the codec directly) I would be happy to get any song from Halo/Halo 2 that I can.
So far, the mainmenu music is the only WMA formatted files I have seen.
As for injecting with HMT, the problem I think is that the track in the mainmenu that you are injecting into has loop points in a different place. It's like when you use HMT to inject music from an SP level over the ambient sound of say Blood Gulch. It will start playing the music and then stop/play the original sounds(birds and stuff) and then maybe start looping over. It would be good if you could make a custom tag for the sound itself. Then you could get it working I think.
