Resource: random 3ds files (feel free to use!)

This forum is for uploading new building blocks for maps such as tags and new models. Please do not post any copyrighted material (ie, models/textures from other games).

ok well a while ago i thought that it might be a good idea to give out some old stuff that i'm not using. recently some1 said that it would be a good idea for some people to start doing it, so hey why not try to get the ball rolling. what this community needs is to share more. theres too much of this, "ive got this and that and no1 can have it because i want to make the best map".

well truthfully, there are people who can make a better map than those who refuse to contribute to the community. so really you end up making a less than awesome map because you wouldnt let others try their hand at it. well ive got some max files that i thought would be good maps, but i think that there are others that can do better

so enough of my rambling, and heres what ive got to give

7 different things:

-File1-
a garage type thing
a basic city
a basic temple
a prison type map
an aotcr conversion
the makings of Gate V2 (never completed)
-room-
a micro map of my room
-room_bitmaps-
the bitmaps for the room map

one last thing! if you end up using any of this, u dont need to say what u used and all that, but just say that u didnt make all of it urself. u can mention me if u wanna

and now, ill start uploading to this site. cuz i just realized how slow it is to get from the other site :(

cool. yea i just want people to be able to use these. it would be really nice if someone found a practical use for one of these or part of one, but it's also be good for people to learn from. might not be too helpful for good modelers... since these are pretty basic

yea... the city map is basically ready to be ingame. ive had it ingame. i just didnt have anything to do w/ it

dude these are awseome, i think i could maybe get the AOTCR map ingame, if i had a lot of time

ok all of these have been ingame. i think some of them are even ready to export. linked to a frame and all. the part that i never got around to doing was making a good quality map out of these.

id love to incorporate these into a render only version of aotcr im making(reason for render only is cuz of huge amounts of polys and cuz of lots of subobjects and smoothing groups
