ok first of all this is a AI map which is pretty normal but its not in bloodgulch! WTF YOU SAY WHAT! yes its not in boregulch i mean bloodgulch

ok now that ive got that said...
heres the basics of the map.
all the ai is very very smart. as in theey will kick you in the nuts and throw you off a cliff without even thinking about it. and they are not marines or elites they are spartans. i took very much care in balanceing out their attribute like range and accuracy and stuff so they are pretty fun too fight. although if you have not beat halo on at least herioc or if you are not a pro online i dont think your going too like it
and if you dont like it theres a super weapon on the map its hidden in the center in a pretty obvous place.
so far this sounds pretty normal of a ai map right? well heres the kicker.

now i admit they are not very good drivers. they are DUI most of the time but they are atleast "sorta" sober somtimes but not usually the banshee is probaly the best driver and its piloted by a elite... i forgot too fix that but whatever...
oh and i like too point out that there are no custom weapons on the map mainly because i diddnt have enough time too balance them with the ai's smarts. i had too take out the "cyborg sniper major" i didnt have enough time too balance it either. and also i may port this too xbox halo or halo pc sometime so it will be easyer without any custom models or bitmaps or sounds.

and heres the pictures they are pretty good.

ummm some feedback on the map would be apreciated. id like to know what should be fixed and what should be worked on in future maps i make.

criticism mb make it so the ai on ur team fight u if u kill to many of them

Well it's pretty simple.
Just adding AI to the map in HEK and then compiling it.
Not much to comment on really........

Make your own BSP and make there a reason to fight the AI. Like a SP level or something. AI maps like this are fun but lose there entertainment value after a while. Even without a reason to fight the AI a new BSP would be nice.

idk how too make them turn on you. its a script somewhere i think but i dont know what it is.
and really its a bit more complicated that just "putting" ai in a map. you have too set up fireing postitons and encounters and then you gotta cretae command lists and make sure that they are set up so they arent too smart but not too stoopid etc.. etc.... etc...... im wondering if you guys find any of the spartan types (ex: rocket spartans pistol spartans) need balaanceing.
also i did this so i can get some more experiance im currently knee deep in a huge solo player map project and its going good.

i ran radiositty lastnight it took 16 hours... lol

Well I look forward to seeing a new SP level. I know what it's like to set up AI in CE with all that you mentioned. It's really a pain.

no but too make good ai you need to. and when your spawning on checkpoints.

all i did was invert the colors. why ydont you just extract the bitmaps and invert them then you have a awsome skin.

thx, but still no one has given me any usefull feedback on balanceing the ai... well... has anyone found any thing or are you guys not even looking.

the ai is kinda buggy.... ill see if i can find somtin to fix the vehicle ai

You have to modify the vehicle settings for usuable AI drivers.
For CE use guerilla if you are editing a PC mod use Phenoms plugins.
In its most basic form (its not hard)
Vehicles
disable AI driver flying if its not a banshee.
AI
Edit the AI avoidance distance and AI pathfinding radius.
Lower the throttle maximum to around 50%
there's more, but that will get you AI that dont drive drunk.

they dont drive if they are not set too ai driver flying (except i think the ghost and wraith will work as ai driver hovering and ai driver sidestep)
the ai driver flying flag actually says "ai, put the pedal too the floor and GOOOOOOO!!!" and if its not checked they just sit in the tank/warthog and look around like dumbass's and i know how too edit thre throttle and stuff i did.
althogh i don treally know waht the pathfinding radious doses exactly is it there smartness too find a move postiton and go too it?

Yeah. Make points in a command list and then link the command to a point. If it's a go to command, they'll run to that point.

no they dont. from my knowlegdge of ai when they enter a vehicle it ends there command list. so that does not work. i know ive treid. and ive had really good scripters explain it somewhere... hpc.net.they have really good scripters over there.
