The spike grenade has a detonation timer of 1.5 seconds once it leaves you hand which spews out large needles creating a large AOE effect. For best results throw this grenade slightly above your targets head.
A new and interesting weapon from the ancestors, this skull shoots out holographic images of itself homing in on nearby or distant targets. If your shield is up it will attach itself to you entering your body and killing you several seconds later. However if you have been in battle recently and your shield is down and then you are shot by the skull it will have no effect on you.
The short range Prata Assault Rifle is devestating up close shooting fast projectiles. This weapon is weak long range because its very inaccurate.
A new type of grenade, one which has an incredibly large AOE but deals less damage than a normal grenade. The detonation sequence begins once the grenade lays at rest on the ground.
A very powerful sniper rifle if in the right hands. This energy sniper rifle takes several seconds to build up before it can shoot but deals a large amount of damage.
The energy pistol allows for two different types of fire, a charge up shot or small single shots. The user must be careful not to get carried away with this weapon as it tends to overheat.

thanks man. the project crysalis is a university project that myself and one other classmate decided to do. My job was level design and his was weapon design. Part of our assessment is to get feedback from the community on how much they like and dislike this new map. The time frame we had to do this project was 2 months , although being in a university environment other subjects had to be completed also hindering our progress. We essentially had 4 sets of weapons. what my friend posted is the first set

we still have several guns to be modelled in, but alas time got away from us.
Our submission deadline was yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately the map didn't get to the aesthetic quality we wanted but we still want to pursue its completion for the community.
also i was informed by my roommate that the Spike Grenade is in fact featuring in Halo 3. is this true? i was a bit shocked when i heard it. i'll post up the production brief of what the map was meant to include.
I will be posting up the map in another week or so after i have the level looking better (some elements were rush modelled in so they look pretty crap). and the texturing was done in an afternoon

i like the custom weapons, and the map looks like it would be good for slayer or king of the hill (not so much for capture the flag, because of only one way in and out of bases. try adding some more bridges

) overall, i give this map a 7/10 before i play it, i'll update my rating after i download it on my other comp

the orginal concept was to have 2 bridges leading to the middle. A short bridge and the other a much longer, wider bridge. The bridges in this version of the map will be replaced by proper designs later on. however the bridges were done quickly.

I will be posting up a quick tutorial of how we done the Spike Grenade since it was requested. I am happy to do other quick tutorials like muzzle flashes, explosions, ammo counters, gauges etc. but you can probably find out how to do a lot of this stuff with a little bit of digging in guerilla. still i'm open to requests.

I love the map and the weapons pwn all. Great job! 9/10 before I played it. I'll play it now...
After playing it, 7/10, cuz there are some pretty empty areas, not many new weapons, and in the game its night! How is it day in the screenies?! I'll wait for the final version. Other than that it's ok.

nice custom weapons, although they don't seem so balanced( it's just what it looks like since I haven't played it). Awesome job overall with those, they look awesome and proish:P

Cheers for the replies guys. I'll be working to get the level correctly textured as well as working on two new guns. The EC-SMG and Bolstik Launcher. Attached is the side profile of the EC-SMG. Also i want to know if people prefer it to be Daylight or Nighttime? The concept was this be a defense platform orbiting the planet Praetorious. I will also try to get the railgun modelled for one of the bases. More stuff to come end of week.

Very nice job! I'm thinking about re - installing CE to play it.
