HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Well, heres my first map. Its a smallish map based very very loosely on cairo station (i cannot stress how loosely ).

Few Things:
1. youll have to excuse the sky, dunno how to make custom ones yet,
2. I know some of the scenery is dark, (radiosity screwed it up, dunno how to change it.), and possibly out of place,
3. There are probably a few errors, but hey its me first
4. Only use on CTF and slayers because i dont know how to put the hills and checkpoints on of other game types.

Nice! But I have one little gripe about it...perhaps it could have a generally darker feel? A military space station with bright colors jsut doesn't seem to work.

But for a first map, very very nice job with the modeling and everything!

Flickering lights make any map good.

It doesnt look anything like launch bay. It looks a lot more like the cairo station to me. Which is cool!

looks clean and well built, only things i dontlike about it is, the flat lighting and the blue and red base walls. use a strip of color around the walls insted of a solid red/blue.

its ok, 5/10. good for your first but the textures are kinda screwy like you said.

also it looks like part of it is jus a rip off launch bay

This looks nothing like Launch Bay. Very nice job, and try to get in contact with someone on the GearBoxSoftWare forums to help you with the sky

....I think thats a very very good job for trying to base it on cario station.. espeacially for first try anyones posted and for a first map nice job... finally some one didnt post a map with giant spikes coming out of the ground for a first map that they posted.. i mean ur first maps can look what ever u want em to look like jus for fun but only post serious ones. Nicest first map post i think ive seen in a while and theres not many space station themed maps out there...

It looks a lot like Cairo Station, maybe needs some bitmap improvements, but still, nice job on the BSP itself.

I got it ingame on xbox... those textures are really bright... i think ima change them and then... yea i dunno
