A mod team that doesn't know what "beta" means?
Pre-Alpha - The phase of programming before testing
Alpha - The primary testing phase to remove most bugs and glitches
Beta - The secondary phase to remove whatever remains and minor imperfections
Release - The official public FULL RELEASE of the product.
Alphas and Betas are commonly made public, because 200 users can find glitches faster than 2. Commonly this is in the beta stage. To be critical, i'd say the amount of errors in this map make it more pre-alpha than beta, ESPECIALLY an 8th incarnation of a beta.

Bam! Your confirmation.
I am Fleet Admiral Bacon, and Trepidation is not done yet. Beta 8, as we call it at GruntMaps, is the newest, and only public, release. Expect the following:
Hangars with pelicans.
More than 6 types of vehicles (Die GBX Die! I steal your scripts!)
Hangar Doors (jsut need to tweak the animations)
Halcyons (POA)
Battle Cruisers (T+R)
Carriers (The type of ship in the Halo 2 main menu)
Marathons (Type of ship from first video sequence on halo 2, kinda like a halcyon, only more pointy armor)
Seraphs (covenant space fighter)
Pelicans
Hogs in human space station
Jackhammer Missile Launcher
Portable Plasma Torpedo Cannon
[runs out of breath]
[heart rate going so f*ing fast its unbelievable]
The Pre-Alpha did not include the ships, and was released on my site. 35 players is better than 3.
The Alpha was released on my site also, and included crude versions of the Halcyon (40 is better than 4)
The current beta, though it can still be considered a pre beta, was released on halomaps.org as beta 8, though betas 1 and 2 were the prealphas, 3-5 the alphas, 6 and 7 the pre betas.
To access the ships:
Halcyon: Stand between the Sensor arrays on the front. These are the things that look like big shields.
Battle Cruiser: Front left side (portside) docking bay, jump in and your good to go.
In the future, ships will have small lengths of hallway in them, and will be attached to umbilicals, where you just walk into the ships and down the appropriately marked hallway and it says "Press E to enter XXXX seat of XXX"
hell no. The vehicle side, yes, but the map cant get any bigger without errors. (believe me, the absolute first time I tried, i had the map scaled perfectly to a halcyon, and BAM nothing worked...)
They will, however, contain hallways.

GOD DANG IT! I told him 3 times not to say its from FMT. [GM] (gruntmappers, our site is down so i wont bother posting a link) is an ally, if not, part, of FMT and is solely responsible for Trepidation.
2. the hallways will lead to:
a. hangars
b. labs
c. a cafeteria
d. an armory.
3. Those are not nukes, the nukes are the standard fire missiles, the secondary fire is the MAC gun, hence the fact that it doesnt explode. MAC rounds from the Pillar Of Autumn simply splinter and rip right through a ship.
4. The covi base hasnt even been started, its just there so I know where everything goes.

Due to the scalling, the ships cannot hold bridges (mb the covi ships, but not the human ships)meekoo wrote:sigh.. probably not possible but i think it would be even better if the ships had sort of an interior nothing too detailed and large but maybe a hallway and bridge ??

Also, is anybody else having problems with the floor of the human base dissapearing, and the music stopping and starting over and over again?

you should probably put in longswords with like 8 seats or something like in hugeass and give it a collision with glass in the front (not fake glass where bullets go right through) and give them lots of armour. the seraph is like the covie version of the longsword so it would be good to have both variants.
