Halo CE Hot-Fix v1.07 Now Available
Plano, TX - 25-May-2005: Gearbox Software an award-winning developer of interactive entertainment responsible for best-selling titles on all major gaming platforms has released a new Hot-Fix for the Halo Custom Edition (Halo CE) game that addresses a potential bug and rare hang that could occur if a malicious individual (hacker) purposely imitates a game client and sends invalid data to a server.
The Halo CE Hot-Fix v1.07 is a self installing patch file in the form of an EXE (4.6Mb) file and can be downloaded and installed on all Halo Custom Edition programs.
Gearbox Software has chosen the Gearbox Game Zone website as its primary distribution site for this update. The update may be downloaded without fee or registration from the http://haloce.gearboxgamezone.com website. The Gearbox Game Zone websites are owned and operated by UXB Internet a website design and hosting company in Wolcott, CT.
Update: Once you install this hot fix you will only be able to see and connect to servers that are also running the latest 1.07 hot fix.
Note: This hot only fix addresses the two security issues that have been released (v1.06 and V1.07) for the Halo PC version.
If you currently use Halo CE, please, please, please update. Tell your friends on CE to update it. Tell people on the street to update it. Tell everyone to update. Tell the world!

Telling people not to update will split up the small amount of players even more than telling people TO update. Everytime you try to play online its going to say an update is available reminding people to UPDATE, so why not update? Because people are to lazy? The majority will update so dont listen to everything they tell you. Geez the gearbox forumers always gotta make things so complicated.
