CE: Intermediate- Chain Spawning Weapons, Effects

Well I've been playing with the HEK and figured out how to make weapons chain spawn. I'll update this post a little later with a tutorial on how to make your own. Just take these tags and put them into the designated folders (SEE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW). Also feel free to explore them and change the projectiles that are spawned, or vehicle, or biped, or weapon, or whatever. Just a warning, if you spawn vehicles, turn vehicle respawn off otherwise they will keep piling up on each other. Also to keep in mind; if you make a weapon shoots a lot of grenades that chain spawn other projectiles, the game may crash, but it does take a lot so be warned. If you make a chain weapon, try to overload the engine to make sure it won't crash if 16 people are on a map and all using chain weapons. I would recomend using AI that use the chain spawning weapons, to test it. Now that the BS is done, here are the instructions...
1. In the file you downloaded there are 2 files. One is for the frag grenade and the other is for the plasma grenade. MAKE BACKUPS OF YOUR ORIGINAL FILES!
2. In the "frag grenade\effects" folder, is the explosion effect, put this in the "tags\weapons\frag grenade\effects" folder.
3. In the "plasma grenade\effects" folder is the explosion effect, put this in the "tags\weapons\plasma grenade\effects" folder.
4. Now recompile your map, and you will have frag grenades that spawn about 10 plasma grenades, which then spawn plasma rifle bolts. Have fun. A link to the tut. is below.

Good work dude...I think people are finding many different uses for Guerilla now other than making maps :D

hi this is probably a realy newbish question but i was wondering wtf is recompiling the map.....i dont know what u mean... i have the editor and im doing ok but whats recompiling...i know i would need to do this for it to work beacause its not working right now.....if u could plz anwser my newbish question i would be greatful

Most maps in any game consist of many different files. Bitmaps, models, sounds, etc. Compiling just means puting everything together to make a .map file. So after you've created your map in the 3d modeler, and added textures, then run radiosity in sapien and populated it, you have to compile it to make it into a map file. Hope this answered your question.

thx i found this out on my own lol... but i ran into one probleme while compiling...im working off of gmax and was wondering wheather or not it is possible to export my map as a .jms file ive been trying that blitzkrieg plugin but i dont think its that unless i installed it rong
