PC: Intermediate- Chain Spawning, Vehic. Duplication

Post by Deimos »

Here are the tutorials that people have asked me for, that I have posted so far. This is also where you can find the ghost model that people have been asking me for. A preliminary chain spawning tutorial is here.

you just replace the ghost gun with something that has a secondary fire like a banshee

A Chain Spawning Tutorial Is Here Now.

Post by Deimos »

I've just posted a preliminary chain spawning tutorial. I'll have a much more detailed one later. Included are the files you need to make chain grenades, and a text tutorial on how to make rockets spawn at the end of the chain. Let me know how you like it.

Hmmm...I can't seem to get it to work. Did everything step by step.

Guess I'll wait for the extended tutorial. Good job on creating this!

Well, I'm an insomniac and get an average of 3-4 hours of sleep a night.

You Can Try This

Post by Deimos »

I don't know how to get more than 3 from each spawn except with HHT. You have to go to the last chain, the one that spawns the rockets, then at the right in the dependencies, copy the chain effect and put it where the nulled out effects are. But don't do too many or the game may crash. Replace about 4 of the nulled outs. If you want wraith mortars to spawn, the wraith vehicle folder needs to be in the decompiled map. Then just change "weapons/frag grenade/frag grenade" to "vehicles/wraith/mortar", or whatever the name of the mortar.proj. file is. I've found that the best way to get spawning is to use the frags to explode in the middle of the cycle, then have what you want to spawn at the end of it. So make a wraith fire, then spawn the frags a couple times, then go back to the mortar. If you don't do this, the projectiles will just spawn in front of each other, and they won't spread. I'll try to get a more detailed tut. out by this weekend.
