Posted: Wed Feb 15, 2006 2:19 pm
This is an easy tutorial on how to get your .gmax to about anything you want!
And its all Free!
What you need
Gmax - The modeling program we will be using
3D Explorer - This is the Trial Version, I'm looking for full
MD3 Maxscript - H4x0rz 1337 plugins for gm4x
There are also .OBJ importers for gmax if you want them in the link above.
Converting the files
Create your model in gmax, then eport it as a .MD3 file (there is a tutorial for installing the maxscript with the download).
In 3D Explorer, goto file>open. Under the list types select .MD3, then browse to your folder. Open your model, and there will be a picture of it. Goto file>save and browse in the save as types for .[OBJ]. Click save, and you know have your model saved as whatever you want!
