for those of you out there who think that you need to reinstall halo
just to get ur maps back... ur wrong
just read the tut and ul find out.

for those that dont know how to get to the filescab...
go to my computer and make sure you halo disk is in... then right click your d drive and press explore you will find FilesCab in there once you open it you will find 6/8 WinRAR files... you will need WinRAR to open then which i believe is at
www.winrar.com for free download... in the files in there all your sp and mp maps are in there...

ummm...... You could just make a copy of the map your going to mod and then if you messs up delete the normal map and rename the copy to the original file name, like if it's a copy of bloodgulch.map rename it to bloodgulch.map and then play.

You don't need WinRAR - WinZip, IZarc, 7-Zip (get this, it's awesome and GPL) will open CABs, hell; even Windows XP can open them as folders!
