I thought i could post a beta post since the forums aren't up to normal people.
How do I navigate the view ports?
To pan (or move side to side, up and down), hold your middle mouse button and move your mouse. To rotate, hold alt, and your middle mouse button, and move your mouse. Scrolling your middle mouse button performs zoom.
How do I make objects?
First, you have to familiarize yourself with the 3ds max interface to make models efficiently. To start, make a box, by clicking the Box button on the right side. Then, in the view port, click and drag, let go, click and drag, let go, to complete the object.

How do I manipulate this box?
To move the box, click the move button (the 4-arrowed button), then in the view port, drag on the x, y, or z-axis. You can also move on 2 or 3 axes at a time, depending on where you drag from the move gizmo.

The rotate function is used basically the same way as the move function, the rotate button is on the right of the move button.

The scale function is located to the right of the rotate button. The scale function works the same way as the move and rotate functions, scaling makes the box larger on a certain axis, 2 axes, or all 3 axes (3 axes makes the box larger in all directions, i.e. larger).

Now, experiment with the other primitives (boxes, spheres, etc.). Try changing the values on the right panel, make sure to keep the segments (
