CE: Easy- Battle Scenes Step by Step

Post by Logan »

HALOCE ONLY

Ok so heres how to make a battle scene

ie:

This is very simple(2-4 min)

Image

and this is about midway hard(20-40 min)

Image

Ok so, first thing's first. You need to enable devmode as well as the console, you may do this by

1. Go to your desktop, right click on ur HaloCE
2. Go to properties
3. Go to the "Target" box
4. and add " -console -devmode" on the end
ie: If it said...

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe"
then afterwards, it should say

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe" -console -devmode

*QUOTES ARE AS THEY APPEAR**THERE IS A SPACE BEFORE THE FIRST -*

Image

ok, now hit apply and then ok

Now it is time to actully begin

load up haloce and pick a map, gametype.

After you are in the map, press the "~" key, this will enable the console(you may exit the console anytime by pressing the "~" key or hitting enter while it is empty)

the console is the little bar on the very bottom

Image

Ok, so now you are in your map, with the console enabled

so here are the commands that we will be using

debug_camera_load

debug_camera_save

cheat_teleport_to_camera

Steps

1. type in "debug_camera_load" (no quotes), this will bring you to the cameras view, and you can move around by holding down the middle mouse botton and move your mouse around, this is how you can look around

to move around, hold down the middle mouse button and u can use the standard w,a,s,d to move foward, left, backwards, and right.

and to move up and down, hole down the middle mouse button and press r to move up, and f to move down

VERY IMPORTANT

by default, the camera moves slow as hell, you can incres/decrese the speed by scrolling the middle mouse button

ok, so now you r gonna spend 20 minutes playing around with this(I did :--)

so now move the camera into a place where you want the camera scene to be

after you are satasfied with the camera position, type in "debug_camera_save" This will save the current position

so now the fun(heh) starts

you can do this many ways

you can bring the MC to your cameras position simply by typeing "cheat_teleport_to_camera"

now bring the MC where you want him, and take a screenshot

open up your picture in a picture editor (photoshop is widely used, u can go get the demo at there site......or pay like 500$.....or use a crack :--)

ok, now move the MC agin(to the other place that you want him at), and take antoher screenshot

now in your picture editor, go to the second screenshot that you took, and select the MC/vehicle/(w/e you have) and after you have it selected it hit Ctrl+C(this will copy it)

Now move into your origonal screenshot and hit Ctrl+V(this will paste it)

Now you must position it to where it looks like it was ment 2 b there

you should zoom in,(use ur arrow key to move pixel by pixel ;-)

you can repeat this untill you are happy :-D

note that lighting is critical, ir you are fireing a gun, make sure u include all of the lighting, SHAWDOWS, shawdows are the most importsnt thing, dont for get to include them

heres an ex:

I positioned the camera, then typed "debug_camera_save"

So first i did the tank(see below on how i got it here)

I did the tank first because it emits light, and it is alot easier ;-)

After taking a screenshot, I switched teams, then i ran and got the flag, and stood where i wanted to be, then I typed "debug_camera_load"

this brings you back to your saved position

then i took a screenshot, then opened it up in photoshop(you probably could use paint for this one ;-)

Image

the i selected the MC, copied, then went into the origonal and paste it, and manuvered it into the correct position

whew, alota typing

VERY IMPORTANT, here are some commands that are very fon 2 screw around with
