Misc: How To Use A PPF File

To apply Banshee Wars:

1) Download it (of course).

2) Get ppf-o-matic or HHHT

3) Apply the ppf that comes with it to deathisland.map

4) Open up the jet.dxt with a hex editor, and copy all of the hex in there (press ctrl+A then ctrl+C).

5) Open up your bitmap.map file in a hex editor, scroll to the very bottom of it.

6) Click after the last line of coding, and paste (ctrl+V).

yea but what do u put in the ISO file slot.

You can browse for things by clicking the disk but what do i browse for.

after I clear the cache and start halo, there are several different map files on the y partition. cache001.map, cache002.map, etc. Which am I supposed to apply the ppf to?

Not having any luck, I tried applying a patch to the bloodgulch.map on my xbox hard drive and that did nothing either.

Any ideas?

umm... cache000 for single player, 002 for ui and 003 for multiplayer, wrong forum btw, this is hpc

ok 1st of all i'll get this out in the open: I'm a n00b at hacking. There, no flaming pleeze! OK. That being said i need help. I downloaded the ppf-o-matic thingy and a ppf map for halo pc that i wanted to try called moongulch. I dont know how to get it to work. I've opened the ppf thing but i don't know what thing to put in each slot thing. I read the instructions at the begining but they were too confusing because they were out of order (that bastard!) (not really) and it doesn't work. Pleeze post intructions that are better cuz the others didnt explain too well (no offense they were probably good but im just too stupid to understand

I know im a n00b but help me anyway PLEEZE!!!!!

umm take bloodgulch.map , choose it as your iso, then take the ppf as he patch then press apply patch

ok i was messing around and i did try that. but when i put the ppf in the patch it said it cant load the ppf. is there a problem w/ the ppf or something?

yea when i go to the iso slot and browse in the map file in halo nothing comes up

Umm... I have problems too.

I no how to do it and everything, but whenever i start it up it freezes and i have to either restart my computer or press control+alt+delete.

Is there something im doing wrong here

(and yes, i did apply it correctly and put it in the maps folder if you wanted to know)

hi there, i downloaded a couple of mods for halo pc and did all the stuff you guys posted to do. But when i extract the mods from my zip folder it says .rar file not pff. Can anyone please help me? thanx

download WINrar from our pc utilities section use that to extract the .rar files into the ppf
