[Model] Covenant Gun

Mods for Mac should be placed here. All posts must have pictures and a mod to download. Use PPF always, unless the map is rebuilt.

[Model] Covenant Gun

Post by Halo_addict »

Well its friday so I decided to make a quick model and upon injecting it failed. I'm sure this was because the map was already messed up in the first place, but thats beside the point. This gun is kinda odd looking and scaled for the flamethrower...

nice model. did you make it from scratch?
it crashed because...
did you triangulate it? you have to before you export it to obj from wings, or halo will crash. you also have to scale it correctly too or you'll have one big gun!

The model is scaled as best I can with wings...And rotated so it fits in the same spot as the previous weapon. Did you just triangulate it then inject?

no, you had the model at the wrong angel in wings. that's why it looks like that.

Might want to redo it. I bet I could do that with one cylinder.

No, seriously. The Extrude tool owns at this kind of stuff. You see those sights on the top of the turret? I made both of those using only one primitive each and the extrude tool, plus a little radial and/or directional resizing.

No triangulating is not the problem. If you don't triangulate it, Halo won't crash but ur model will look very very screwy. Also I think you injected it a little wrong. maybe messed up a geometries or parts. Also re adjust it just to be sure. Injecting models isn't very hard. You just have to know the order of which to do things.
