My new Chief *Update*

Ok. So I've been keeping a low profile lately on modding so most people don't know about my new mod. Well the reason for that is because I am doing a lot of cool things for it and I just want to surprise you guys. Anyways here is how the spartans will look in my mod.

Ordinary Spartans will have Primary and Secondary color steel, while Spartan Officers will have Primary color steel and secondary color orange. No this isnt an AI mod, it's a full SP mod. I can't guarantee that it will be an SP mod in the end, because SP is very unstable, but I can promise you that you guys will get a nice mod. :wink:

Creds go to Elite747 for teaching me a lot about shader editing, Doom for giving me an awesome bump map, and Tbeezie for letting me use his MC Illum.

lol. Thanx dec. The old one I made was too dirty for my tastes so I made a detail map, nulled the reflection map, and edited his specularity, alpha map, and color change.

update!
some people (*ahem* doom *ahem*) suggested that I try to make him look better, so I changed his alpha map back to normal gave him a nice reflection map and re-did his saturation.

I don't see much of a difference. It just looks like you used the lights from trep's Halo 3 MC, and added a few bits of the color change.

Since Doom is such a great modeler and I respect his opinion greatly, I finished my mc skin by his stadards. So here it is. Just a slight update from the previous one.

I maintain that it would look better if you removed the scratches on the bitmaps.

I see teh problem show it with different colors black and orange is a bad choice.

I agree with Tural, it would look a lot better if it didn't have the scratches.

The way you've made the alpha map it makes the base bitmap look wrong with the scratches and stuff like Tural has already suggested.

The knee's are especially out of place looking
